This page explains how the Norwich Research Park Biorepository website collects information and the ways in which your privacy is protected.


The Norwich Research Park Biorepository website does not automatically capture or store personal information, other than logging the user’s internet protocol (IP) address and session information such as the duration of the visit and the type of browser used. This is recognised by the web server and is only used for system administration and to provide statistics which we use to evaluate usage of the site. Under the Data Protection Act, we have a legal duty to protect any information we collect from you. We will only use your information for the purposes for which it was collected.

Freedom of Information Act

The purpose of the Act is to promote greater openness by public authorities. Under Section 19 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000, the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has a legal duty to adopt and maintain a Publication Scheme for the publication of Trust information. If you send an e-mail or call the Biorepository asking for information, we may need to contact other organisations to find that information. If your question is technical, we may need to pass it to our IT Department. We do not pass on any of your personal information when dealing with your enquiry, unless you have given us permission to do so.
